Recent Internal reviewing of the firearms processes on St Helena has action new changes for new and existing licence applications.
From now on new applications and existing applications will meet the new criteria.
A newly approved application form will include in-depth checks of previous convictions or offences and relationships to the licence holder. Storage of firearms is also a key requirement under the new process, as it impacts public safety. The processing of new and existing applications will be required more time to process as thorough checks will be required. Applicants are encouraged to apply in good time to ensure the transition period from old to new certificates does not lapse.
If an existing licence holder don’t reapply on time for renewal and is found to be in possession of a firearm/shotgun/ammunition without a valid certificate is committing an offence and liable to prosecution.
The issue of a certificate for a year on year.

- Any other firearm cost 24.20
